El GM Néstor Galarraga recibe Premio Delfo Cabrera de parte del Senado Nacional Argentino.

La Comisión de Deportes del Senado, que preside Julia César Catalán Magni, realizó este jueves una ceremonia en la que entregó los premios “Delfo Cabrera-Edición 2016” al deportista ejemplar.

En esta oportunidad, la medalla de oro fue entregada a Nora Vega por “su profesionalismo y trayectoria deportiva en el patín”.

Además, Carlos “Tata” Baldomir (Boxeo), Nora Cocol Gomez (Futsal), José María Irigoyen (Pato), Néstor Galarraga (Taekwondo), Juan “Pepe” Sánchez (Basquet), Oscar Castellano (Automovilismo), Nancy Álvarez (Triatlón), Guillermo Cañas (Tenis), María Best (Remo) y Alicia Barranco (Natación), recibieron su medalla de plata como deportistas destacados en su disciplina.

En 1999, se realizó la primera entrega en el Senado para rendir homenaje a Delfo Cabrera, atleta nacido en 1919 en Armstrong, Santa Fe, quien obtuvo la medalla de Oro en los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres 1948.

Mañana se entregan los premios Delfo Cabrera que otorga el Senado de la Nación a aquellos deportistas destacados que han finalizado su carrera deportiva y realizan una labor destacada para promover el deporte a nivel nacional.
Es un gran orgullo que el gran maestro Néstor Galarraga esté entre los premiados de este año. ¡¡Felicitaciones!!

GM Néstor Galarraga receives the Delfo Cabrera Award from the Argentine National Senate

The Sports Commission of the Senate, chaired by Julia César Catalán Magni, held a ceremony on Thursday giving the "Delfo Cabrera-Edition 2016" prize to the exemplary athlete.

In 1999, the first Award in the Senate was made to pay tribute to Delfo Cabrera, athlete born in 1919 in Armstrong, Santa Fe, who obtained the gold medal in the Olympic Games of London 1948.

Tomorrow the Delfo Cabrera awards are presented by the Senate of the Nation to those outstanding athletes who have completed their sports career and do outstanding work to promote the sport at a national level.
