Saturday, 4 february after the seminar in Bochum (Germany) I had the great honour to be promoted by Grandmaster Nicholls to Master (7th Dan). I want to thank him, but of course especially also Grandmaster Choi Jung Hwa and all others within the ITF for the confidence they have in me.

Besides my own way of "lifetime student" I would like to thank all other people, including Grandmasters, Masters, instructors, my students and all others with whom I have worked with the past 48 years sincerely for their contribution!

The first time we have met was during the teacher training course at the national sports center Papendal in Holland. I was only 16 years old (1995) and I would never forget it. Authentic Taekwon-Do was the theoretical lesson. The great thing about all my experiences with you is that you not only teach the physical part but also the spiritual side of Taekwon-Do. The ' Do ' and the Tenets! You try to transfer this also in everyday life. After all these years I can say that you are not only my master, but also a very good friend.
