Report on the Hong Kong Invitational Tournament 2024 : Reviving the Premier ITF Event in Hong Kong after the Pandemic

Since the establishment in 2009, the Hong Kong Original Taekwon-Do Council has been a prominent organization, hosting a series of highly successful ITF international and local events each year. Participants from all corners of the globe have enthusiastically taken part in these events, marking a significant achievement for the Asian ITF Family. Unfortunately, our activities had to be put on hold for past few years due to the pandemic.

However, on the 6th and 7th of January 2024, we proudly resumed this year's Master Class and Invitation Competition, led by Grand Master Trevor Nicholls, the esteemed ITF Executive and Vice President. With nearly 150 participants, the Master Class provided a full day of learning and enlightenment under the guidance of the Grand Master. Simultaneously, the Hong Kong Invitational Tournament 2024, buoyed by unwavering support from our sponsors, turned out to be a resounding success, with almost 400 participants in attendance.

The competition served as a platform to showcase the extraordinary talents of individuals from diverse backgrounds within the ITF Taekwon-Do community. Each participant brought their unique perspectives and experiences, creating an event that exemplified the power of unity and collaboration in achieving a shared goal.
