Taekwondo ITF Master Class Seminar in Slovakia

The annual Taekwon-do ITF Master Class Seminar was successfully held on March 22nd, 2025 in Slovakia. Organized by Master Matiullah Karwandgar, VIII. dan, the president of ITF Taekwon-do Slovakia.

The seminar was conducted by Grandmaster Trevor Nicholls, IX. dan, who serves as the ITF General Secretary and Vice-President of ITF. Renowned for his extensive knowledge and teaching abilities, GM Nicholls guided participants through an intensive training program that covered various aspects of Taekwon-do, with primary focus on tuls, kick and punch techniques. His teaching was characterized by meticulous attention to detail, emphasizing precision, power and fluidity of movements, which left a lasting impression on all attendees.

Participants from multiple countries, including Slovak Republic, Austria, Greece, Czech Republic and Ireland attended this high-quality seminar. The seminar not only provided a platform for skill enhancement but also encouraged cameraderie and cultural exchange among practitioners from different nations.

In addition to the technical training, the seminar featured a special celebration marking the 59th anniversary of the founding of Taekwon-do ITF worldwide, honored with speeches reflecting on the rich history and growth of ITF Taekwondo over the decades, paying tribute to the dedication and vision of General Choi Hong-hi, founder of Taekwon-do as well as of Grandmaster Choi Jung-hwa, the president of ITF.

Participants of the ITF Master Class Seminar in Slovakia expressed great satisfaction with the quality of instruction and the welcoming atmosphere, reinforcing the enduring appeal of this annual gathering.

This year`s seminar once again demonstrated the unifying spirit of Taekwon-do, transcending borders and strengthening bonds between practitioners committed to the art´s tradition and evolution.
