On the Weekend of November 11,12 & 13, clubs from all over British Columbia, and Alberta, Canada came together to compete at the 2005 TTA ITF Western Canadian Championships held in Prince George, BC.
The event was hosted by Mr. Jordan Boudreau IVth Degree, Instructor of Family Taekwon-Do.
Just under 200 Competitors competed throughout the day in Patterns, Sparring and Destruction Events. The Black Belt Division featured Junior Competition, Mens and Womens competition and even an executive class 36 yrs+ Division that was breathtaking to watch.
Mr. David Wilcox and Miss. Lisa Wilcox of Lightning Family Martial Arts were named the Top Male and Female Competitors of the day respectively, with the award fot top performing club going to Victoria Taekwon-Do.
The Most Sportsmanlike Club award was presented to Orion Taekwon-Do of Edmonton, Alberta.
A great time was had by all competitors and the event was a huge success. We look forward to May next year when the 2006 National Championships will be held in Calgary, Alberta.
