OUR MEMBERS

 SPARTACUS INTERNATIONAL TAEKWONDO ASSOCIATIN(SITA) Ethiopian:

Just as it is impossible to think of ITF separately from General Choi, it is impossible to think of Ethiopian ITF separately from Master Kiros. 60 or more percent of the international Taekwon-do instructors in our country are Master Kiros students or their students. The association was formed for the first time in our country in 2005. At that time there was only one association in our country. The president of that association was Master Kiros.

The associations continue to promote the international Taekan-do art of the country from different parts of Ethiopia. From the beginning, our association was led by Grand Master Choi, the son of General Choi, and continued to be fruitful, followed by hundreds of black belts and hundreds of clubs. Our association will continue in the same way as before. we invite you to join this first and original association.

Explanation of Tenets
The Tenets of Taekwon-Do serve as a basic guideline for all serious students of  Taekwon-Do. The degree of success of Taekwon-Do training is greatly dependent in how one observes and implements these principles. Taekwon-Do students should attempt to practice the following elements of courtesy to build up their noble character  and to conduct the training in an orderly manner as well.

COURTESY – YE UJI – KESOPANAN
   1.    To promote the spirit of mutual concessions
   2.    To be ashamed of one’s vices contemplating those of others
   3.    To be polite to one another
   4.    To encourage the sense of justice and humanity
   5.    Distinguish instructor from student, senior from junior and elder from younger
   6.    To behave oneself according to etiquette
   7.    To respect others’ possessions
   8.    To handle matters with fairness and sincerity
   9.    To refrain from giving or accepting any gift when in doubt

INTEGRITY – YOM CHI – KEJUJURAN AND KETULUSAN
As person of integrity is able to differentiate right from wrong, and to have it on his conscience if he does something that is against his principle. Below are instances where integrity is wanting.
       1.    The instructor who misrepresents himself and his art by presenting improper
techniques to his students because of lack of knowledge or apathy.
       2.  The student who misrepresents himself by fixing breaking materials before
            demonstrations.
       3.    The instructor who camouflages bad techniques with luxurious training halls
            and flattery to his students.
       4.    The student who requests rank from an instructor, or attempts to purchase it.
       5.    The student who gains rank for egoistic purposes or the feeling of power.
       6.    The instructor who teaches and promotes his art for materialistic gains.
       7.    The student who actions do not live up to his words.
       8.    The student who feels ashamed to seek opinions from his juniors.

PERSEVERANCE – IN NAE – KETEKUNAN
Confucius said, “One who is impatient in trivial matters can seldom achieve success in matters of great importance.” This wise observation is certainly true because a person of patience will usually accomplish what he has set out for, no matter how great the odds are against him. Though sheer perseverance and tenacity, he will definitely attain his goal.

SELF CONTROL – GUK GI – KESABARAN
Self-control is very essential in performing the rituals of Taekwon-Do. A loss of self-control can be disastrous to the student as well as his opponent.  A person who has a tight reign over himself is able to live and work within his capacity he knows his strength is able to live and work within his capacity. He knows his strength and failings thus can act in accordance to his sphere of capabilities.

INDOMITABLE SPIRIT – BAEKJUL –BOOGOOL – SEMANGAT YANG TEGUH
When a brave person and his principles are pitted against overwhelming odds, an indomitable spirit is shown when he adheres to his beliefs.
A serious student of Taekwon-Do must be ever ready to defend the cause of justice. When confronted with iniquity, he will handle it without any fear or the least hesitation in a spirit that is indomitable and uncompromising towards wrongs,
Confucius stated “it is an act of cowardice to fail to speak against injustice” and history has verified that the courageous that are not afraid to pursue their dreams with indomitable spirit never fails to achieve their goals.
